I just got the newest 13" white Macbook through my school and I'm trying to record through line-in and I'm having no such luck. I've been using an iMac for a while and I'm trying to avoid using an interface. I'm just wanting to run a small mixer into Logic.

Can anyone help? I'm losing my mind.

Can you describe your setup and what cables and software settings you have tried/used?

Again, a look at the manual/user guide Apple provides with its computers might solve the issue, but I'm just guessing, as you haven't told us what you did and didn't do.

If an audio device plugged into the audio port isn’t working
Unplug the audio device. Choose Apple () > System Preferences, and open Sound preferences. In the Input pane, specify whether you want the port to be used for Sound Input or Sound Output. Plug the audio device back in.
