Not to burst any bubbles, but this can already be done using the iTrip. Though it uses an FM frequency instead of Bluetooth. But the result is the same.

The iTrip requires you to tune in your iPod "station" on the radio, and usually none of those FM type units work well. Using BlueTooth and a device on BOTH ends, means it'll play on the stereo with the same quality it would if you had use a cable to plug it in. The only problem is that it won't work in a car like the iTrip can.

Screw that... If Bluetooth has enough bandwidth to play CD-audio, why not come up with Bluetooth headphones? Down with wires! :D

Now that's a good idea. That way the iPod stays tucked safely away in an interior pocket or bag, safe from prying hands. And you don't get the headphone cords caught on everything.

I almost picked up a bluetooth headset recently, but the thought of all those wireless waves so close to my brain made me kinda paranoid.

Actually they exist...I wouldn't hold your breath for the technology to be quickly reduced in size enough to be in-ear's. Anyway, a Korean company had been talking about them about six months ago, and I did a google for it, and lo and behold, HP is *selling* them...they look a lot like the ones from Korea, except in black, so I'm thinking they might be a rebadge.

I wonder if there'll be any compatibility between this and the iPod BT adaptor. But I'm not I want to go back to wearing over-the-head headphones for most of my use. Gotta watch the hair you know. :p

I'm actually waiting for the Bluetooth bio-integrated implant modules so I can have everything piped straight to my brain. :D

I do use my iTrip this way, and am impressed with the quality sound. But a good digital signal would be even better. The iTrip is good (on a clear station), but not like a direct line. I'd buy a BT product if it really did have that kind of quality.
