Yet another bland generic offshot of Microsoft Music Store with WMA only support.
It's amazing how everybody is jumping on this train without any idea how to to differentiate from 10 other MS-based stores?

What' s HMV?
HMV (http://www.hmv.co.uk)
Used to be a record label called 'His Master's Voice', the one with the little dog (called Nipper) listening to the gramophone...
Now a big UK-based CD/DVD/games chain store which seems to charge an overly high-price for the kind of CD imports I usually look for... which is why I rarely shop there.

Yeah, and don't ask why, but the only place HMV isn't huge is in the US. In Canada and Australia (both commonwealth countries....hmmmmm....), HMV is also quite big, but expensive. However, if you want to order online in Canada, HMV and Futureshop are two decent places to do it, as they have everything, or can get it for you.
And I would never pay for a .WMA file.

I would put in a good word for their extensive (and with much material discounted) classical music department at their Oxford Street store.

It still bothers me that most of the major music outlets seem to be getting into bed with M$. As soon as someone produces the player that matches or surpasses the iPod in design and interface, Apple might suddenley find that theyve been surrounded. Fashion is fickle.
