I'm curious to see what people are using as their mainstay Apple music player. Mine's a black 32GB 5th Gen iPod with Video that I got with my Macbook Pro 3 years ago as a part of the student discount program. Shows up as "Wal*Pod" in iTunes, as I have my alter-ego "wallaby" etched on the back.

The battery on it doesn't last much longer than 6 hours anymore, and I can only fit about half my library on it anymore, so I have considered getting a new one... but I think I'll wait until it's totally broken.

Also have a 1st Gen iPod shuffle that I've tried passing around to the family, but no one seems to have a need for it. :p

the new 16GB 6G nano is my main out and about iPod, however i stack all my videos into a 16GB 5G nano and 80GB 5.5G iPod with Video.

i can never let them go! the only ipods i used to own but go rid of were a 1G touch and a 2G shuffle. the touch was to fund the 5G nano and the shuffle went through the wash and oven, in that order.

I have a 16 GB Black 4G iPod nano. I have an 8GB iPod touch 2G from the back to school promotion this past summer. I really am tempted to get the new iPod touch but don't see any reason spend cash on it when I just got one this past summer...

I still rock the 4th Gen black and white. I still love it. When it ceases to work, I'll find another and buy it. Just something great about and iPod with the main function being playing music.

Has "Don't steal my iPod." engraved on the back.

32gb Touch. I think it's a 3rd gen. Got it about this time last year. It mostly lives in my glovebox when I'm not at the gym or work, but if I've got access to wifi while I'm out and about I usually grab it. Even though I've got a Droid.

My current iPod is my iPhone 3Gs, but if you still want an iPod then it would have to be my iPod Touch 1G.

Late 2009 160GB Classic for me. 99% of my music is ALAC, and I love the capacity. I have a 1st Gen Touch that just sits in a drawer, and I rarely use my iPhone 3G S for listening to music.

I really like the new classic I just bought to replace my original. Since I carry an iPhone 4, the classic is the perfect companion since it is large enough for all my music plus some backup files from my MacBook Pro.
