Hi,
Just got a project that will require use of a deck that utilizes FW400 for device control.
My tower does not have 400, only 800.
Any advice?
Will a simple adapter suffice?
Thanks,
ed

I've used an adapter like this (http://www.amazon.com/Sonnet-FireWire-400-Adapter-FAD-824/dp/B0000CDJPQ).

There are also 6-pin to 9-pin Firewire cables (http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030105) and 4-pin to 9-pin Firewire cables (http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030104) for less than 10€.
