Quote from PC Magazine.
"Other music players might cost less or have more memory, smaller bodies, or more features, but none offer the iPod mini's combination of silky smooth operation, graceful design, and techno-chic style. Because of its perfectly crafted interface and controls, its pioneering use of the 1-inch 4GB hard drive, and the enormous impact it has had on the music player market, we're compelled to give an award for Technical Excellence to the iPod mini."
I Think that preaches well!!!!

These articles come up fairly frequently and always miss the point... who's the top dog, or rather, who are these (rather weak BTW) competitors basically trying desperately to copy and keep up with? Right, Apple. Instead the write ups seem to equate everything is equal when it really isn't. As usual in just about all things high end computers and electronics Apple does the R&D, everybody makes cheap copies that often throw in "features" which really if they were that important Apple would have included in the first place and we're supposed to be led to believe Apple has some hot competition.
Rinse and repeat.

Isn't this article a nearly complete rip-off on a NY Times Piece on the mini and it's rivals? Don't have the link but a lot of the phrases rang a bell.
