I got a 512MB stick of RAM from Newegg.com made by Samsung, and it isn't reading. I have been reading that you need to install RAM in pairs, so is this the problem? I have to have two 512 Samsung sticks next to each other?

I have to have two 512 Samsung sticks next to each other?The only computer that Apple has that currently needs RAM in pairs is the Powermac G5.
