At the moment I have an annoying problem that when I start my MacBook and log in, it freezes at the desktop.
Sometimes the dock shows and I can move my mouse but that is it, everything is frozen. I have tried multiple times to restart but the same thing happens oven and over.
If it helps I have recently downloaded and installed the following:
Spotify http://www.spotify.com
DockDoctor http://www.innermindmedia.com/dock_doctor_widget.html
and this http://www.lifehacker.com/5651055/free-your-macs-media-keys-from-itunes-no-manual-hacking-required
The last one needed access to the terminal, so could that be the source of the dilemma?
I am running Mac OS X 10.6.4, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, using the first MacBook Unibody.
