I am looking for a (preferably free or shareware) application that will do whay FastStone Image Viewer used to let me do when I ran a PC.

I could do a batch operation and resize, add a frame, add a watermark and convert to jpeg from raw, tiff, psd or whatever. I've found a few for mac but none that will let me add the watermark.

Does anyone know of one that will let me do this in a batch operation. It is the one feature I would really value.

I do have Aperture 2 (but I am a basic user there - it irritated me so much I've never learnt it properly), if there is any way to add a watermark in there I'd love to hear about it!

I am pretty sure that Adobe Lightroom will do everything that you are asking.
