Hi everyone,
I have a mac pro 2008 with a Highpoint 4322 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816115061&Tpk=Highpoint%204322) running a raid 5 on 8 1Tb hard drives.
Along that I have 3, 1TB hard drives running a raid 0 using OS X to strip the drives.
I would like to place a Highpoint 4310 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816115063&Tpk=highpoint%204310) and remove the OS drive and place another 1Tb drive in its place. Then build a raid 5 using all 4 drives.
I was then thinking of placing OS X and my app's along side my document files of all sorts of things.
any thoughts on this set up?
