Help with VGA and email projected?

Hello all,
Just got keynote and the VGA cable and am wondering if I can project my email screens through VGA to a monitor or is this just for movies and PowerPoint through Keystone? Any work arounds where I could project email?

I don't think Mail is setup to use the VGA out connector on a stock iPad.

Most of the podcasters that do stuff with iPads actually have to jailbreak them and use a cydia app to get a screen mirror in the VGA out, but I don't recall the name of the app.
