volume too low to hear movies

I loaded 4 movies onto my IPad, 2 from ITunes, and 2 from DVD's of mine. The volume is too low, even at max volume, both with earphones and without, to be able to hear them. The 2 movies from ITunes have a somewhat higher volume that the other 2.

Any ideas? Is the problem in the synching?
 
In iTunes right-click The video and choose "get info". Then under the options tab I think, there should be a slider called volume adjustment. You can slide it up to make it louder. Sync your ipad after, and check the video again.
