I bought an unlocked, jailbroken iPhone 3gs, and had no problem using T-Mobile with it (4.0.1 firmware). A buddy told me to update to the 4.1, and now I can't do anything with it. Does anyone know how to hack this, or to reset it back to the 4.0.1 firmware? I have no cell phone now, and can't do anything with this phone until I can get some suggestions. Please help!

I'm pretty sure you are going to have to wait until 4.1 is jailbroken, then wait again until your baseband is unlockable. Sorry.

Yep, unfortunately there's absolutely nothing you can do. There will likely be a jailbreak in the near future for 4.1, but the unlock may never happen.

You should have never listened to your "buddy".
You never update a JB and unlocked iphone thru itunes unless you're 100% sure on what you're doing.
Now all you can do is wait for a new JB and hopefully a new unlock to be released in the future.
