Apple TV 1/2 movie renting

Hi
I have an old (160GB) and a new apple tv (on two diffrent tv's), and a MacBook.
If i wanted to rent a movie which i could watch on all of the three devices, which device should i then rent the movie from? And how do i transfer from one device to another?

MB=MacBook
OATV=Old Apple TV
NATV=New Apple TV

MB -> OATV?
OATV -> MB?
MB -> NATV?
NATV -> MB?
OATV -> NATV?
NATV -> OATV?
