So after getting the new Apple TV, I noticed at times that pressing a button on the remote wouldn't always make the "bleeping" sound effects when moving between menus.
Last night after specific testing, it seems to be directly related to how long I wait between button presses. The first button press doesn't seem to invoke the sound effect, but then successive button presses, if done quick enough, will make the sound. However if I wait 2-3 seconds between button presses, then the next press will be silent.
So, is this a feature/setting or a weird bug? I never thought to look in the settings on apple tv, but maybe this is normal. Maybe you can set this to happen or not, or set it to longer or shorter intervals. I could see this being designed for night time viewing so that slower presses won't make noise in the house.
Any thoughts?
