Shuffle not working?

I only use my Shuffle every once in awhile, and when I tried to use it today, it won't show up on iTunes.

It still plays the songs already on it fine, and everything else works, but I can't update songs. What gives?

This issue is typically resolved by resetting the iPod. Since that process is different on each Shuffle, we need to know which model you have.

I have the (Product)Red iPod shuffle. I think it is the 2nd generation? It isn't the newest ones with the screen.

If you still can't get it to be recognized in itunes, you can reset it through this utility (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1238).
