nice to see dev for os x proceeding at a rapid clip; it was only recently we had the last os x version.

anyhow, does anyone have direct experience with VoIP quality w/Skype over 56K on one end?

It's probably not great, but who knows. I mean, those lines are for voice anyway. There might be some overhead, but I'm sure there's something on their site about it. A FAQ or something. Otherwise, I'm sure you could e-mail them.

They had a link on their front page about the tsunami in Asia, very cool of them being a small company (comparitively).

If interested, I posted a modded AppleScript to integrate Skype into the AddressBook application in this MacOSXHints Forums thread (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=29709&highlight=skype).

[Edit] I have not tested the script with the newest Skype version. It worked well with the previous version.
