After a painful money transfering and shipment waiting, I finally took my new 15.2" PowerBook G4 today...

I know that they are about to release, but I had a friend coming back to Turkey from US, so that was my only chance to get this babe near to 45% cheaper than Turkey's prices with edu. disc, lower taxes, IMC premium and etc..

I had a 12"PB Rev A, and I thought it would be kind a weird to handle a machine this big, but after all I loved it more than I expected.

I wanted to share with you guys.. and.. I wanna ask something, what Revision is my PB???

Congrats on getting the new PB, and saving a bundle. Glad there were no issues getting the PB into Turkey.

nup, thats the AlBooks.

then wouldn't the 15" albook be the rev b? it's one rev behind the 12" and 17" albooks as far as I know.

then wouldn't the 15" albook be the rev b? it's one rev behind the 12" and 17" albooks as far as I know.

The revision letters go by each model (12", 15", and 17" powerbooks are all seperate models). The Aluminum powerbook revision go a little somethin' like this:

Rev. A 12" PB's have an 867 MHz Processor
Rev A. 17" PB's have a 1 Ghz Processor
15" PB's still Ti

Rev B 12" PB's have a 1 GHz Processor
Rev B 17" PB's have a 1.33 GHz Processor
Rev A 15" PB's have a 1.25 or 1.00 Ghz processor

Rev C 12" PB's have a 1.33 GHz Processor
Rev C 17" PB's have a 1.5 GHz processor
Rev B 15" PB's have a 1.33 or 1.5 GHz processor

Hope that clears it up for ya!

Here's how Mactracker has it:

rev. A 12" PB's have an 867 MHz Processor
rev. A 17" PB's have a 1 Ghz Processor
The 15" PB's were still titanium while the 12" and 17" were aluminum.

rev. B 12" PB's have a 1 GHz Processor
rev. B 17" PB's have a 1.33 GHz Processor
15" PB's have a 1.00 or 1.25 GHz processor
All PB's are now aluminum

rev. C 12" PB's have a 1.33 GHz Processor
rev. C 17" PB's have a 1.5 GHz processor
15" PB's have a 1.33 or 1.5 GHz processor

In my opinion the latest 15" PB's are rev. B

that's what I was getting at. when the rev a 12" and 17" albooks came out the 15" was still titanium.

Well I did mine from memory... and my memory isn't great, so we all know how that turned out! I'll edit my post.
