sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens any good?

Here you go and a comparison.

I have it in the Nikon mount, along with the 24-70mm f2.8. I've been very, very happy with it. It's a little soft at f2.8 (but not drastically) and you lose VR (though the new version does have that), but I think it's fantastic. I use it for most of my wedding and portrait work.

Essentially, as many reviews have said, it's half the price of the Nikon, but way more than half the lens.
