I had the exact same questions raised in this post on the Apple site:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2608335&start=0&tstart=0

Is that even possible?

I'm sharing a network with another family members MacBook I have my iTunes account & library and they have their own iTunes account & library.

in AppleTV it says "ComputerS" and I dont think I should have to authorize another computer to share my library again to the AppleTV, it kind of doesnt make any sense.

Home sharing is enabled on bother computers using our respective iTunes accounts but only one shows up at a time on the AppleTV. sort of annoying and counter intuitive to me that youd want to be able to see multiple various libraries.

How is everyone managing multiple libraries and one AppleTV & Home Sharing?
it just seems so crippled and idiotic....but maybe my knowledge is?

thanks!

In my house I have an iMac (main computer for Apple TV), MacBook Pro, Compaq laptop and a Gateway PC, all of these have the latest version of iTunes and all have Home Sharing enabled. Only 2 of those computers are mine (the macs), but for home sharing, I authorized my brother's and sister's computer with my @me email address. (so they are authorized to play my music/movies and apps on their devices)

So last week when I got home with the new Apple TV, I:
-Plugged it in to the TV
-Logged into my home wifi
-Enabled Home Sharing on my Apple TV

and immediately all 4 of my computers were listed under the Computer tab without having to authorize any of my computers like I had to do with my old Apple TV.

Yep you have to have them all on the same Home Sharing account. It is annoying to have to do but it's the only way to have them all show up at once on the ATV2. This also means you are limited to 5 computers because you have to authorize each computer for whatever iTunes account you use for Home Sharing.

You don't have to use any of the other Home Sharing features (like automatic copy) so it will function exactly like the old iTunes sharing methods. Your existing iTunes accounts will function the exact same, so if you go to the iTunes store to make a purchase, it will still be your normal account and not be the Home Sharing one (unless your login happens to be the same one).
