My Mac Pro 2010 (with Radeon 5870) doesn't like my monitor. It's an "Acer P205H" 20" Glossy LCD.

Issues are:
choppy mouse, quick freeze up once every other second.
graphic errors on second half of the screen. Mostly efter bootup.

I've tried connecting it:
directly to DVI
using "DVI-Mini Display port adapter"
using another DVI cable

no difference!

However, when i connect it to VGA using "VGA-Mini Display port adapter" it works fine. My eyes are hurting though :(

Hopefully it's a graphic card issue that can be resolved through firmware fix but who knows. Somehow it's only the digital signal that doesn't work. I've tried my other VGA LCD screen and it works fine too. I'm gonna buy a better screen soon anyway but how can I be sure that the new screen will work?? Gaah!!!:confused: Any ideas? Anything else I should try?

Try a different monitor.

Try a different monitor.

I just need to find a another monitor. I will ask some friends and see if they can lend me one. I've considered to connect it to my TV using HDMI adapter. That should give some answers too. It's the same basic connection as DVI right? At least it's a digital signal.
