iOS Largest Tab Bar icon size

I found that I can use 48x30 icon for Tab Bar icon, is this true?

And you're sure this hasn't been scaled down when rendered?

According to Apple's HIG then, iPad Tab bar icon may be:

No larger than 48 x 32
