I have an idea for an app and am ready to hire a developer to write it for me. Once he (or she) gives me the compiled app, can I test it without a mac? I have an ipod touch and will have paid the $99 developer license. I don't plan on doing any of the programming myself.

I searched through the forum but couldn't find an answer to this issue. Thanks!

I'm not a dev but i think you will be able to. When your dev compiles the app he will have added your ipd touch UDID to the developer list and that will allow you to install apps on your phone from that developer(basically you). He will then email you the .app and an itunes provisioning file. You should just be able to add the app to iTunes and you will install it.

Once again don't take my word for it but i believe you will be able to.
