I just received my new mac and few days ago I had found a link in one of the threads about how to reinstall the oSX without all the unnecessary crap, in order to reduce the size of it.

I DON'T REMEMBER THE LINK...I spent hours and hours in the forum but I didn't find it...anybody knows about that article?

I think the thread had to do with ssd...:confused:

"unnecessary crap"? iLife? just drag it to the trash, or reinstall and uncheck the boxes to install iLife and whatever printer drivers and languages you don't need.

all of the above has very little to do with OS efficiency, considering that they don't bloat your startup programs, or run in the background.
