hi
i would like to make a copy of my very valuable osx install cd on to a blank dvd would anyone be able to shed some light on how to do this i have roxio toast.
p.s
no before u judge this ! is for back-up purposes only nothing else people !!!

Use toast and select disk duplication, there is a choice between files or a CD, slecect CD. Put in the disk, have toast copy it, then toast will copy the CD onto a new disk.
Make sure you test it when its done:)

It will be a slow process though, so plan on having an hour+ for the computer to save the DVD to the hard drive, and then make a new DVD.

It will be a slow process though, so plan on having an hour+ for the computer to save the DVD to the hard drive, and then make a new DVD.
On an iMac G(4)(5), and PowerBooks it might since it has a 4x DVD burner.
On a PMG5 with an 8x DVD burner that is about 14 mins to burn one DVD Optical and with the SATA HDD, about ~4 minutes to copy. :)
