And apparently it was added to iTMS several days before I posted that in the forums, and I just never noticed! But I never submitted it to MacBytes, someone else stepped up to that task :)

I'd really rather be donating my GBP to the British branch of the Red Cross, but I guess it all goes to a good cause in the end.

kudos to the person stepping up. We need to spread the word every way we can. I donated to help out my fellow thai people and to everyone that needs it.

i wanted to donate, but you need a credit card for it, you can't use an account to do it. :(

I'm going to look for another charity to give to. I was looking into the Red Cross, since there was some controversy with them after 9/11, and found out that their CEO, Marsha Johnson Evans, gets $621,435 a year, according to the Charity Navigator (http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm/bay/search.summary/orgid/3277.htm). A google search shows several other sites giving her base salary as $450,000, presumably not including bonuses, expense accounts, etc. Seems a bit excessive to me for the head of a charity...

I gave to Doctors Without Borders (aka Medecins Sans Frontģeres), personally. They're not in iTunes but they do good work, and there's a link to them on the Apple "Give" page: http://apple.com/give

Thanks for the link. It's good to know Apple's listing a variety of organizations, so people have a better idea of the variety of possible charities they can contribute to to help out the victims.

Yeah--that list was on Apple's home page for a week, with all product info removed (but still linked at the top). Now the list is moved to /give, but there's still a big banner on the home page leading you there.
