Hi, I've been connecting my Macbook to my wireless Netgear router for a year now, and it suddenly has stopped connecting. It shows full signal strength, and I've tried the troubleshooting guide which doesn't work.

In system preferences it says that "airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet".

I've tried many fixes that I've found online (entering $ before the password, resetting the router, etc.) but nothing has worked. My husband's laptop (not a mac) can connect fine to the router wirelessly, but I've had trouble with other macs, such as an iPad connecting.

Sorry, I'm not good with all the technical details :). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
