Between the 15inch PB and the 14inch Ib:The programs i use are: Studio Mx (which includes Flash,Fireworks,Dreamweaver),MS Office 2004,Photoshop. Also i play ut2004 and wc3. I have 2000 bucks to spend and id like to get something that will last me about 2 or 3 years respectively. The computer i get needs to have an 80 gig hard drive. Needs to be reliable and tough. I dont need a dvd burner but itd be nice. I will upgrade the memory to 1 gig later on as well. So while taking all this into consideration and with tiger on the way, what would be your advice as to which one to get. :)

EDIT---
You have already made 4 threads in the past 5 days that has to do with the powerbook. Multiple threads doesn't help much.

just go and buy the powerbook and max out the ram
if you dont like it, just return it and suffer the restockin fee
thats what i did at least
and i know better now....
its better just get what u can afford
i think the 15 inch powerbook can go up to 2 gb ram right? 2 slots?
and optional 128mb video card?
you say u dont need all that power now..
but think about it
it will have better resell value
you can play games
you say u wont play games now but im sure down the line you will want to..
should i continue?
close this topic before MAYA jumps on ur case again...
hehehehe

I say wait till MWSF and see what is announced. I am partial to the PB 12' models myself.
Too lazy to check, but I think the current iBooks do not have video cards that are compatible with the Core Image Technology of Tiger.

Off topic... However, a post that was here calling eDesign a she disappeared. (It was in disagreement to Jdm_rsx post) I happened to start a reply quoting said post (of course to point out the obvious blunder) and saw it actually get attached to the thread (my reply). I then hit refresh to find my post missing as well... Weird huh?

Well, there is as said several threads on this topic,
but i understand your concern about get the right machine when you uses all your savings.
If cost vs time the machine will last you is relevant:
The ibook 14/inch is much cheaper than the powerbook and will probably last alsmost as long as the powerbook.
If your budget is $2000, then you can forget about the powerbook. You wont get a 15-inch powerbook with 80GB hd and a decent amout of RAM for that money, unless you buy a stolen second hand powerbook or a defect one..
The high end iboook is 1.33ghz, the same as the lowend 15-inch.. The real difference is display
and videocard...
anyway wait for MWSF, and do a search! and dont post 4 threads with the same contents.....
