Does anyone know if there is an SMC like app for windows that I can use to conrtol my fans on my Mac pro, I've looked around and can't find anything :)

You could try SpeedFan (http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php) (not sure if it will work with the MP's logic board or not).

I wold like to know as well. I have an i7 iMac and do a ton of rendering. Would like to keep it some what cool.

I used i8kfangui on my old Dell. Im not sure if it works on your hardware though
