21 all the way, thinking back on it now I probably should have just bought two 19's but I'm happy nonetheless. I can't afford an LCD display or just can't justify spending $800 to $1k USD on a 17" LCD when I can get 20" or 21" viewable CRT for -800, beige and ugly too of course :p

There seems to be no option for the golden 23 inch HD monitor.
Actually, for my Cube, I used a Fact.Ref. 15 inch LCD from Apple that I got cheap.

15" apple lcd and old school apple 19"(i think?) crt...
just not enough real estate on the 15" for graphics, but it's too sweet to not have... i'm pulling for the 19".... and at least drive the 17" price down...

how would you rate your 22" cinema display compared to the new 23 HD one? as far as image quality?
I'm thinking of getting the 22 once the new ones come out.

I have spent a lot of time using a 23" model but in general, image quality is excellent on both. In truth, the specs on the 23" beat the 22". Look at the pixels 1920X1200 = 2,304,000 1600x1024 = 1,638,400 Difference of 665,600 pixels for 1 inch. It is also a brighter display.
I love my 22" Cinema Display and have no fault with it. I don't think I could have afforded the 23" if it was available when I got mine. As long as you don't need the extra screen area, the 22" is a great display.

i'm on a 22" as well and I have to agree with emaq123; the quality is stunning on both and I've put off the 23" just because I have absolutely no issues with the 22 (and keeping the $ of course)

as a side note though I've been toying with the idea of getting one of the apple 15 inchers on the side for palettes and the like. Especially if I can find one of the original 15" studio displays with the s-video and vga to use with my twinview card.

Help!
Can somebody help me source an Apple desktop picture I need for a project I'm working on. I've attached a screenshot below of the relevant desktop picture. I need the desktop picture as large as possible as I plan on scaling it to A2. So ideally I'm looking for someone with a giganto cinema-sized display who can provide it in the largest pixel dimension possible.
If you have this image (it should be in System Folder/Appearance/etc.) I'd be grateful if you could email it to me at:
chris@rodneymillerassoc.com
Thanks for your help. If you're curious to know what it's for, it's for a competition entry we're submitting. We designed a website for a San Diego based record label Bremsstrahlung Recordings which is based entirely on System 6.0 (http://www.lowercasesound.com) and we thought it would be nice to use one of Apple's newer desktop pictures as a background.
Thanks,
Chris

Wow, what a gravedig. 7 years!
I've got a 24-inch BenQ monitor that I frequently use with my 13" Macbook, when I don't need to be mobile. Picked it up for $279 at the Black Friday Newegg sale, and it's probably the best purchase I've made in a long time.
