Hi,

I'm trying to disable 'preview' as my default application to open images that have been double clicked on, and change it to photoshop.

Does anyone know a way of doing this that doesn't involve trashing preview?

Thanks,
M

select any jpeg file. Hit cmd+I. Then change 'open with..' to photoshop. Also select 'change all' button.

cheers

I'm not in front of my Mac, but you should be able to select an image -> get info (command - i) and from that screen, set the default app for those types of images.

EDIT: Woof - beat to the punch again. Dadgum slow Win 95 machine!

Actually, the times were the same; so he beat you by mere seconds! Maybe even milliseconds! I hear what you're saying about Windows 95, however, and you have my sympathy. Doesn't your boss know that Microsoft isn't supporting that OS (if you have the brass to call it that) anymore? Based on what you've said about him, he probably doesn't know, or care. Just so long as you "do that voodoo that you do so well!" :) In any event, I really enjoy what you post; keep up the good work!

Marc
