Did your 2010 Macbook Air BTO arrive on the Apple estimated delivery date, or did it arrive early or late?

Mine arrived almost 24 hours early and I had paid for expedited shipping. So that ended up being 2 days prior to Apple's latest promise time.

Ordered on Oct 22nd
ETA Oct 28th by 4:30pm
Delivered Oct 27th 1:30pm

Arrived one day early as well. I didn't paid for expedited shipping. Just standard free shipping
 
I can't really answer this poll. I ordered mine CTO 1.6GHz / 4GB RAM 11.6" from the Apple Store online Saturday 10/23 at 2:30 PDT. I opted for 2-3 day delivery. Item was shipped today 10/27, Expected delivery Monday November 1st by 10:30am (estimate said delivery Oct 27 - Nov 2nd), Ships 1-3 days, 2-3 day delivery. If they deliver my MacBook Air on November 1st, it will have taken them NINE DAYS from order to delivery. Two weekends and a full week. So, I can't answer your poll. Yes, it will probably come within the "expected delivery date" but 9 days is way more than 1-3 days to build and 2-3 days to ship.

But, I may get lucky and get mine by Friday. Now that would *really* lucky, right?

I ordered 15 minutes before you and I got a ship notification this afternoon. Still sitting in china though. Guessing it will fly out tomorrow. Fedex says I'll have it on Monday. I'm guessing you'll get yours tuesday.

Amazing reply to the simple question, "Macbook Air BTO Delivery On Time?". If you receive it by Tuesday it will be delivered on time.

Same dates for me. My estimate was 10/28-11/2. 2 days after I ordered, I called apple to change it to expedited shipping. The guy one the phone said I didn't need to do that, that it will already be shipping to me as fast as possible. That expedited won't make it any faster.
 
Mine wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow (according to fed ex) and friday at the latest (Apple), got it first thing this morning. I'm in the US btw.
 
Ordered mid day 20th. Standard free shipping, 4GB RAM BTO.

Initial estimate was 22-28. Fedex estimate was 28. It came in the morning of 26th.

Location: San Francisco, CA, the US of A.
 
There is a technical issue in my purchase order, now I received an Order Acknowledgement from them with a new delivery date i.e. 4/11-9/11😕
 
I am starting to get a bit nervous now. I placed an order on Oct 26, 2010 at 02:05 AM GMT with a quoted of 3 business days to be shipped.

Today it is still not shipped and I am starting to doubt I will get it in time before I go for an extended trip overseas (1year 😀)on Sunday Nov 7th.

I also think I **cked up by adding a mini display to vga adapter to my order.

Any info on how many days it takes get delivery to the UK after the status changes to shipped?

I ordered mine on the 26:th too, with a shipping date quoted as "within 3 days". Note that the Shipping date is not the delivery date - it usually takes 3-4 business days from shipping to delivery. I added an USB to Ethernet adapter too, and had the same fear as you.

Luckily, I got an email today saying it had been shipped, with estimated delivery date set to the 4:th - ie right on schedule. I think they stocked up good on the adapters, so that's probably not delaying your order. Mine ships from Shanghai and I live in Sweden, so I'd guess the delivery time should be about the same for you. I hope your order is sent soon, for it to arrive before next weekend my guess is it would have to be shipped on Monday. I've gotten "your order has been sent"-mails at very odd hours form apple, there is still a decent chance it will be sent today 🙂 Best of luck.
 
I noticed Apple has a habit of estimating a day or two more on the shipping than it usually takes. I guess when presented with a shipping date most people think "ok, fine, I'll wait" no matter if it's 2 days, 1 week or 2 weeks. We just accept it 🙂

This gives them some wiggle room in case there is some problem delaying the delivery, and if not, the customer gets extra happy to recieve their order ahead of time (= higher consumer satisfaction). Sneaky! 🙂
 
I ordered my BTO 13.3 on 10/24 with a delivery time frame of 10/28 - 11/02. As of this morning, it is sitting at Fedex in NJ. I my luck holds, I may be able to pick it up Saturday(10/30) at the FEDEX office, otherwise, I suspect a Monday delivery at this point.

Still sitting in China for the past 48 hours since it shipped. Until I received it, I have waited over a week which is the longest than the wait times for any previous apple products I purchased online. Usually takes about 3-4 days to arrive to Toronto via FedEx.
