View Full Version : Will mac support Triple RAID-0?

Hello.

Today i reasearching information, about can mac (10.5.8 exactly) support software raid-0 (stripe) (using disk utility) of 3 disk of 500-1000GB size?

And 1 more disk(1-2TB, no raid) for TimeMachine backups.

Thanks for the suggestions :)
P.S. Don't have money for raid-controller ;(

Yes. Just make sure you've a proper backup system in place.

All your drives have to be exactly the same size to RAID them.

Actually, they don't. :eek: But the capacity will be based on the smallest drive (i.e. if the smallest is a 250GB disk, then total capacity = 250GB * n members in the set). ;)
