Just a quick question, why would you wanna buy 1066MHz DDR2 sticks?

I'm playing over clocking with my 2006 Mac pro in windows and thus far I've pushed the fsb up to my 800mhz ram so that it's at a ratio of 1:1 and my clock speed is 3.25 ghz I want to see if I can go higher with faster RAM... :)

2006 ram is 667mhz and you can not go higher, the speeds are set in EFI firmware and are not accessible.

I disagree, the speed is set by the FSB, when you overclock the FSB it will run higher, my ram is running at 800mhz in windows with the FSB set to 1600...
Technically it's overclocking the RAM, but as the RAM can run at 800mhz then its really just pushing it up to the speed it can run at.

ok, but it's a software clock.
overclocking macpro 1,1 kinda sucks too because the system clock, time, is calculated by the FSB. when you overclock your time will start to go several hours faster.

That's true in OSX but in windows the time is calculated differently.
