M maceleven macrumors 6502 Original poster Oct 29, 2010 #1 I currently own the 1.86GHZ HDD MID 2009 and the 1.4GHZ SSD if i switch the 1.86GHZ HDD MID 2009 to a (SSD) will it make it any faster better performance Spec wise compared to the 1.4GHZ SSD ?

F fyrefly macrumors 6502a Oct 29, 2010 #2 Macworld did some comparisons: http://www.macworld.com/article/154596/2010/10/macbookair_benchmarks.html?lsrc=rss_main And barefeats did some number crunching too: http://barefeats.com/mbpp31.html Bottom line the RevB/RevC 1.86Ghz will be slower with the HDD especially. the RevB/C 1.86Ghz models were also pretty underclocked/throttled due to heat issues, which have been resolved in the newer models.
