I went to target today and tried to buy the $99 Sonic mp3 player (which was 29% off.) and they were out ot stock. So, they gave me a rain check which said that I could use the same % discount on any similar device.

So I applied the 29% discount to a blue mini and then applied for their credit card which also took another 10% off! $175 total!

My friend bought a color 40GB ipod for $350 total. He got the better deal!

but a blue mini is just as good :D

Sweet deal - especially on the photo iPod! I was happy to get my 40GB 4G iPod for $299 - but a color one for $350? What a deal! I wonder how long Target will let that go on until they realize how much money they'll lose!

No one probably could get the deal if they tried again. It was probably just some silly employee that just wanted to get them out of their hair.

Actually, my friend found it on slickdeals. A bunch of people tried it and it worked...so quite a few people have done it. It was a nationwide sale, but not all stores honored the raincheck-->ipod deal. Good thing mine did!

Ahh yes... Slickdeals... Been quite a time since I looked there. Bravo then! ;) Enjoy the mini. May I recommend buying a case? Seriously, it should be the first thing you buy to protect your investment from scratches.
