question marks in icons??

just a quick question. i looked through the search but couldn't find it.

on my firefox and msn icons in the docks, they have dark questions marks in them. it wont let me use the programs. i havent moved either of the files around, and when it happened to the messenger icon before, i reinstalled it and it worked ok.

any reason they are doing this?

I have this happen every now and then, just drag the icon with the question mark off the dock and add it again. I don't know why it happens but I've never had it cause any serious problems the Apps are always where I put them. Probabily just a prefrence or something that get's screwed up.
