View Full Version : The official MWSF Keynote Countdown!

SteveC

I've been looking forward to seeing this year's MWSF keynote more than ever, mostly because of all the expectations surrounding the event. I can't wait to see how many of the rumors are true.

I'm doing my best to intentionally keep my expectations LOW though, so I'm not disappointed. ;) I know there should be plenty of great stuff announced. I just can't wait (but I'll have to)!

Maybe this thread will help me by enjoying this countdown as the event nears.... Yes, I have it bad. LOL

We're now at a little under 39 hours and 35 minutes until the keynote begins. :D

Straight up midnight on the east coast. Exactly 36 hours! :D

No one has jumped in on the countdown, which is fine, but I hope no one minds me doing it either. If so, yell at me and I'll countdown without annoying anyone lol.

Mechcozmo, how about this one...?

"Oh, I just can't wait to see Steve."

It's now 21.5 hours till the Keynote. As it appears now we aren't going to hear anything till after the Keynote, So maybe will will know something in 24 hours. I also have no real expectations, don't want to be disappointed once again.

I wonder if the mods could put a count down timer up on the main page in the corner or something because that would be pretty cool.

"Mr Jobs may have his sights on extending Apple in other new directions - perhaps a high-priced set-top box - rather than looking backwards.

"He has worked his magic in Hollywood before and would have the credibility to strike an alliance that might permit Apple to deliver movies and video to some sort of elegant digital home server."

Oh well, I'll be in a meeting that starts exactly as the keynote starts, and will run just about the entire length. Guess I'll get the news after, assuming you can even get to any site that has the lowdown

Yeah, I'm stuck with a customer from 10:30 CT until 1:30. I'll have to block out the fact that I'm missing all the good stuff, such that it is.

I'm going to have to miss at least some of it... I can't get out of school for it this year, because I have a test. :( (11:40-12:40 Eastern)

I'm lucky I was able to get out of school to watch the expo in the past, though. I guess it doesn't matter that much this year, since there's no webcast.

BTW--Is MacRumors going to have coverage this year? I haven't seen any announcements on the home page...

Where is the best place to go for coverage of the keynote as it happens (bearing in mind no live webcast!)?

The Beijing Mac User's Group will be covering it, too, even though it's 1am here.
http://www.beimac.com/mwsf2005.html

It will probably get a lot less traffic than the usual suspects, so it should be easier to get to (server's based in the US).
