Shon: But it doesnt have a DVD Burner like the Macs Have

Shon: And i have been talking to both Mac Users and PC Users and the Mac Users say you used a slowe version of Mac OS X

Wade: well I would argue then that you should be looking at a traditional system

Wade: but if you want an all in one

Wade: Now the reason we didn't use the Mac OS 10.2

Wade: is that it was a test between a windows speed test vs a mac speed test

Wade: after all you wouldn't be running a mac os on a pc

Shon: why didnt you use OS X 10.2 on the mac though is what i aqm wondering

Wade: it wouldn't likely have made a difference but we couldn't tell you as the test was done by an independant lab

Wade: they chose the most comparable OS

Wade: so there are many reasons for a gateway over MAC not just the speed of processing although that should be important

Wade: Now on the 500x you can have 2 optical drives

Shon: but if i was to buy a gateway would i suffer from a Blue Screen of Deasth

Wade: hahah no you wouldn

Wade: oh and the 500x could hold an internal zip if you needed

Wade: oh and 2 hard drives

Shon: So your saying i would have the blue screen of death in windows? what about a memory dump

Wade: XP is MUCH more stable than all previuos OS and you have better chance of winning the lotterey than having blue screen

Wade: We do have bigger monitors

Wade: when you are looking at video capture do you mean like dazzle

Shon: Do you have a 23" LCD Display

Wade: no we have a 22 inch

Shon: and will it suport dual monitors

Shon: Do you know how often a Macintosh Crashes

Shon: and does Windows XP have protected Memory

Shon: I dont know I was asking, if you knew.

Wade: haha no I am not way up on Apple products and performance

Wade: an upograded vid card can support dual monitors

Wade: one analog and one digital

Wade: or 2 analog with an $11 converter

Shon: What about wireless networking, do i have the option of that or do i need cables

Shon: strung all over my office, so my wife can castrate me, when she sees the ugly cables all over

Shon: Ok, and is there an option for Zero Configuration Networking (The Computer Automatically recognizes any computer with in 50 feet of it? and can share data?)

Shon: Ok, and will Adobe Premere work good on it?

Shon: And when Apple Releases the G5, will it be better to buy a mac or stick with windows?

Wade: There should be a pc version of it but I don't find it in our accessory superstore

Wade: Shon really I have to say I am partial so keep this in mind

Wade: with almost the entire industry making parts and software for a pc

Wade: I just can't imagine going with APPLE anymore

Shon: I need informed descisions from informed people, i dont know too much about computers, I do Digital Videos and use my computer to edit them, and check my emai

Shon: Do you know if there is a Microsoft Office suite for Mac OS X?

Wade: but these days it isn't true any longer that for graphics applications APPLe is strongest performer

Shon: or does this gateway come with office?

Wade: No there is not a mac version of Office suite, why would they make mac progams? Microsoft doesnt make anything for Mac

Wade: and all of our systems come with XP home

Wade: There of course aren't mac versions of windows

Shon: XP Home? I heard XP Home sucked more ass than a chinese crack whore, what about XP Pro do you sell that

Wade: haha yes we do sell it

Shon: Ok, and do you have a service like .Mac?

Wade: and yes like all OS releases it did have some bad press from techies

Wade: they of course were trying to make it do gymnastics it wasn't meant to do

(My name is shon by the way, and i had to use my Fiance's Dell so i could use the chat program)

Ok, some people have asked some questions, so i thought i would awnser

1. I hope you decide to buy a Macintosh: I already own 3. I have a Dual 1.0 GHZ, a TiBook 800 and a Powerbook G3 500.

I have been a mac user since i came out of the womb. My mother on the other hand, when i bought her a new computer a year or so ago, opted for "The Cow Spotted Boxes" (She lives in Idaho so it makes some sense) now a year or so later, she hates the gateway (she is tired of the Blue Screen of Death.... you know...the one our new friend wade said I had a better chance of winnning the Lottery than ever seeing on my computer) she is contimplating wether she wants an iMac or a G4.

My girlfreind/fiance/partner on the other hand uses a Dell Insperion 4100 Series that I got her for her Birthday, because she is still in college and didnt want a Mac.

I am in my Mid 20's,
