Hey all:
I'm in Michigan, and just bought an Apple iBook G4 12", 1.2GHz, 256MG RAM, Airport Extreme, Panther OS (on December 22, 2004) from Amazon.
I also bought a Spymac.case12 which is custom made for this laptop & an extra 512MB Stick of Kingston RAM (which has not been installed yet).
To make a long story short, I soon realized Apple is not for me because of the software issues. Everything I currently use at home & work is PC-oriented, and the software transition issues are a little too cumbersome for my tastes.
Anyways - this laptop has been turned on no more than 5 times. The battery has been fully charged one time. It still has every new sticker that came on it, the brand new packaging, an unopened software package CD-ROM from Apple.
This is basically a brand new laptop. There are zero problems with it, and it is cosmetically perfect - just as the day it arrived.
I will sell the laptop in brand new packaging, the custom spymac.case & the 512MB stick of Kingstom Ram for $890 plus shipping & insurance (which shouldn't be more than $20).
I am firm on the price. The laptop alone was $899 after a $100 rebate, which I haven't received yet. I am losing $137 on this after using it for a week as it is.
If you buy this package new, which this basically is, it will cost you $1,027.
Going on ebay in T-2 days.
