its official... the "i'll never switch" girlfriend of mine has officially converted and now i need help.

She wants 12" PB or 12" or 14" ibook w/
800mHz+
256+ memory
more than 30 gig HD
combo drive

please keep in mind that she's still in school and wants to buy a computer strictly for things like internet, iphoto, itunes, and word processing for school. Please Please let us know what you have to sell. We want a good deal and if possible don't want to spend too much. PM for email... or you can just leave a PM...

Thanks,

Um... http://www.techrestore.com has some good prices on iBooks, but usually an 800MHz ibook goes for $750. Try TechRestore.

a lot of people don't go this route, but you can find GREAT deals on eBay... and 99.9% of the time it works out great... ive never had a problem and neither has anyone else i know who uses it, and that's a lot of people...

a couple of things to look at (im in no way tied to any of these products, was just bored and im also lookin for an ibook, just a new one):

900 Mhz... 40 gig... pretty cheap... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80050&item=5743123476&rd=1)

also 900 mhz/ 40 gig... $950... lots of extras... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80050&item=5742661010&rd=1)

Powerbook, 867 Mhz, 640 RAM, 60 gig... great price... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14909&item=5743435118&rd=1)

anyway you get the idea, you should try looking (if you haven't already), hope you find luck! (i didn't know your price range)...

Macs hold their retail value amazingly well. So this is gonna be tricky. I'd say a G3 iBook, one of the later models that came out. 900 MHz I think was the last G3 iBook, or maybe they hit 1 GHz? Anyway, those would both be under $700 (almost there when new with edu discount).

Remember that you can buy the iBook now, and then wait a few months for the RAM.

the "Green Apple" is no longer a Green Apple-it is a picture of a iPod and says Educational discount-its on the left-towards the bottom-

The "Red Apple" is not an Apple it is a Large Red Flag that says "Save" it's on the right towards the bottom-

Sorry about that-

I'm sure I have you thourghly confused by-now

They used to be "Apples" I think..

Topped out at 900. The number is etched on my brain as I have one. My first Mac. Of course, purchased shortly before the first G4 iBooks arrived....

I sell on ebay as smharmon21 and have 99 feedbacks and 100% positive, and 90% of them I am the seller. I have sold about 400 items, if that shows you how much people leave me feedback  but, it is not hard to have 100%. You just have to be honest, and very descriptive.
