Best Messenger Bag for 11" Air

What do you guys think is the best messenger back for 11" Air

i've looked at apple's website and the options are slim. I'm looking for a messenger bag specifically.

sorry i can't be of any more help but i think someone here bought a messenger bag and we all liked it. Look at the threads, its here somewhere.
 
Personally, SFBags.com WaterField SleeveCase for the 11.6" Air.

I'll most likely go ahead and order a Muzetto as well (same company).
Undecided on 11" or 13" though.
 
Just found this STM Vertical Shoulder bag:

It can fit both the Air and the iPad, which is what I've been trying to find. 🙂

I currently own the Alley shoulder bag but now I find it too large for the Air and I'm trying to find something more compact and discreet, so I'm curious about the new vertical shoulder bag that iLounge previewed

The Patagonia MiniMass (http://www.patagonia.com/us/product/patagonia-minimass-messenger-bag?p=48265-0-709&pcc=1128) is, hands down, the best quality cycle messenger bag with a small and lightweight form factor and the usual mountaineering build quality. For $69 they offer plenty of room for the 11" plus an iPad - the 13" is a bit of a squeeze but both laptops are well protected and sit well when running to lectures, cycling, strolling etc.

Well, as I have 2 13" macbooks already, (1 unibody macbook, and the white one), as well as an ipad, and the new air, I have a McKlein bag which I can put it all in, with plenty of room left over. Not 'really; a messenger bag, but looks less like a 13 year old toddling off to school.

Really is a superb bag, and I think they are on sale at macy's for $99 at the moment. very nice in brown.

"Best" is completely subjective because we don't know what you want from your bag (materials, style, capacity, number of pockets, etc.). There are already a ton of similar threads in all the laptop sub-forums, if you like one ogf those they prob make a ultraportable bag.
 
I noticed Knomo does't make the 13"version anymore but....do you think this 15"version would be even better for a MBA 13 as you stated the room for other stuff is insufficient?

Anyone else has this bag? The muzetto ir hard to get in Europe.
 
i like it a lil more rugged and use this satchel or messenger bag from Ally Capellino (it´s from their AO series made especially for Apple, Inc.)

even if it costs a little more i am very pleased with the quality and style,....

originally its made for the 13" macbook pro, but will nicely do for the 13" and 11" mba,... also features a couple of inside and outside pockets to stuff some additional gear and food,....

I use two different sleeves depending on:
1. What i need to bring with me
2. How much protection I need

I have a nice thin neoprene sleeve as well...
Also, surprisingly, I can fit a lot in that little bag even with the leather Urbano sleeve...
I couldn't be happier with both the Messenger bag and the Urbano sleeve...
 
Backpack for MacBook Air

I prefer a (small) backpack over a shoulder/messenger bag ... a small backpack is hard to find.

So far I've tried the Swig backpack by Timbuk2. For a MacBook Air it's too large, not enough pockets, has a huge flap and about 6" of velcro to rrrrip each time you open it.

Then I tried the small Booq Mamba. As soon as it arrived I took it out of the box and the weight of it was far too much, 4lbs at least, the build and padding is overkill for a 'daypack'. So it got returned the same day.

Most backpacks are too large for a 13" computer, especially the MBA's ... then when you find a smaller backpack it's either so slim it holds the Air and nothing else or built like a tank twice as heavy as the computer.

The quest for the perfect MacBook Air backpack continues.
