voice memos

Hi, I am relatively new to Mac and have a problem which has me stumped. I use my iPod to record voice memos which I then need to send as email attachments. I have worked out how to convert them to mP3 but can't figure out how to attach them to my normal email (gmail). iTunes gives me an option to email using MobileMe but I have been been unsuccessful with this as well as it won't accept username/password. Would be grateful for any suggestions to help get these voice memos to their destination. Jaznjjj
