I need a new g3 clamshell laptop

my name is Beca
and I have a reading disorder
I have found that the g3 clamshell laptop
afords me the most visual ease when going to college
i have a older blueberry with only 3 g hd and need a second generation clamshell with larger hard drive for school work, I study from home on line, because of my disablity..

as you can guess I am money poor, on disablity at this time, so I cant pay a great deal
for it, but hope some one has one that they dont want and will sell for cheap to a fellow mac freak...

If all you need is more HD space, why not have a friend install a 10-12gb drive?

perhaps you can find someone here who has one to offer / and may even be in the city near you.

i will see if I can find a new hard drive
but the most thing I need is the fire wire that
came on the later models of the clamshell
for with fire wire I can use a exteral hard drive
to back up my work....

Sorry to hear you've been burned by ebay. I did a search on a couple of used computer places here that ship internationaly; all of them have iBooks, but no clamshells.

I did see one clamshell on ebay that is what you want (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80050&item=5743048160&rd=1) and the seller has a fair bit of postive feedback from buyers. I've never done business with the guy so I can't vouch for him, but it looks like a good deal from a honest person. If your willing to try ebay again I'd have a look. Right now there is 11 hours left in the auction and the price is at $410 USD.
