This isn't a huge issue, I'm just curious as to what is happening here.

When I do simple editing to a .mov movie in Quicktime Pro, I realize certain things don't appear to save to the file itself. Any editing done to sound or picture appear to be only within Quicktime, and virtually impossible to properly save to the file itself while maintaining quality.

With that said, certain things like added clips, or image overlays (text or pictures with transparent backgrounds over the video) appear to be saved in some way. When using Visual Hub to convert to .mp4, such images and clips would all be present in the final result.

The point:

I've since discovered that Mpeg streamclip seems to be better at converting files, however it fails to save added images. It only converts the source file while ignoring any images added. Any idea why one program would do it, and not the other?
