How to delete icon on iPad home?

I am not sure why there is a icon at my iPad home and show status in "Downloading...", I have no way to delete it and it stays there for days.

What can I do? how can I delete it?

By the way, I can access Internet.

How large is the app? It could be taking ages for it to download.

That happens to me sometimes. Try syncing with iTunes. Usually that does the trick but not always.

Restart your device. It has worked for me in the past.
