I will upload pictures of the system as soon as I get my hands on a digital camera.
Thanks:)

Ok well good thing you told me. I'll just have to bump it around that time. Thanks for the info.

I'd think you'd be better off selling what you have now and buying the Mac Mini when it comes out. Sometimes these trades don't come out as evenly as you'd like. Just sell it on eBay or something, have it end in a week or so, then when you get the $$$ for your setup, go down to the apple store and poof! New Mac Mini!

Yeah I could do that, though I'd have to order it bc there's no Apple stores in Louisiana. I figured I could post and see if anyone was interested. No biggy.

I got the bluetooth / airport extreme card option on it. Since you have 9-11 days to finalize a deal, take your time on those pics...just make sure it's before the 22nd!

No he can't, don't create false expectations. I've highlighted some of the most critical parts of this system, and the PSU doesn't even have a brand name attached to it! The difference between an Enermax/Antec and a no-name means alot when some is buying a custom-build system.
Another thing you need to keep in mind is that this is a Socket 754 system, with a low-end 2800+ in it. With 939 moving to PCI-E, 754 is being pushed farther and farther into the the value end. I would say the entire setup is worth more in the range of $750-800. A $1,000 is something that has a much better video card in it (9800Pro and up). Honestly, the MX440 brings down the value of this system considerably, I'm sorry to say.

The PSU might be brand named I just haven't taken the time to look at it. I know it's a 2700+ but it can be pushed up to a 3200+ and more. I have a 9800XT in there right now but I'm not looking to trade that. I would trade for like a G4 iMac or an eMac or something, esp like a PowerBook or iBook G4 for that matter, whatever is offered I'd consider, even though I put Mini Mac. I've done so long without Mac so I'm just looking for what I can get.

not thread crapping or being nit picky or anything here but that ram is $52 per 256MB stick @ newegg.com . add $4 per stick for shipping and thats $112, not "($148)" and though it says dual channel, the ram would run in single channel as the ASUS K8N-E does not support dual channel operation (its not on socket 939)
now that i got that out of the way,
its a good desktop for sure, but to give you an idea, i bought an HP laptop last year that was Athlon 64 3000, 512MB, CDRW/DVD, 802.11g, 15.4" widescreen, Geforce 440 Go. and the total was $1,000 even-Steven shipped.
the guy is looking to trade for a MacMini, no need to argue the value of the system here for him. Though i do agree that selling it on eBay would be more fruitful. it would give him much more to work with for upgrading that MacMini ($100 superdrive upgrade! :D )
either way good luck!!!

That's true about the RAM running single, but because of the processor's integration of the memory controller you wouldn't see much of a difference and is why future mobo's probably won't need or have it. Other than that I might trade it for a Mini Mac and some cash, still not sure, unless someone has another type of Mac to offer.

As you can see I'm throwing in an extra CPU fan (optional) since I won't have any use for it when I trade. Please forgive any dust you might see. I will clean the items thoroughly though before shipping. Thanks:)
