I used iPhoto 04 in a meaningful way tonight for the first time. For the past few years, I would just dump pictures into iPhoto and not organize or edit them.
But after using the current version, I am amazed at how bad it is. It is beyond terrible.
My complaint is not the functionality, but the speed. I was organizing pictures on a PM2.5 with 2 gigs of memory, and I literally had to wait while I clicked on pictures.
Is this normal?
Anyway, my hope for the new iPhoto is speed. I think it needs to be 2-4 tims faster to be usable. I couldn't imagine using this program on an older machine.
