Looks huge, heavy, expensive. Probably weighs more than the MBA.

I agree. I came across this one and Booq's other laptop bags and I don't really like them, especially this style. They seem to be made for the regular 13" MBP or the 13" MacBook instead. I think it would be too big and bulky. I think I have decided to just grab a sleeve and throw mine in my backpack for around campus. Maybe that is an option for you as well? If you are looking for a messenger style bag to do that, then I suppose this could do the job. I'm sure there are other options out there, even regular 'non-laptop' messenger bags.
