I have 2 macbook and 3 hd...

I just took the hd of 500Gb from my old mac and put the old HD back there...

Now I want to put this 500Gb hd in my new mac but I cant boot the DVD os the OS...

If I insert the dvd with the mac on open the intaller and click in restart, it restart to the OS.

If I hold ctrl it opens the OS...

If I hold shift, it shows the CD but when I click on it, it opens a softblue screen and after some time turns out.

I think my CD is broken, so, is there another way to install? am I able to pick the installer somewhere?

Get an HD enclosure and put the new drive in it. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the contents of your current HD to the new one
